About

My name is Amy and I’ve been silversmithing since January of 2019, when I found myself delving into the world of natural gemstones and was amazed to discover how much more vast it is than I ever knew (I even found a mineral with my name in it — Tennantite). I started collecting stones, many of which I’d never heard of before, and wanted to learn how to work with silver to give them a place to shine.

In my background as a visual artist I’ve always been inspired most by nature and still-life because of the meditative quality I find in studying things up close, discovering the intricacies that make each object unique. Jewelry making seemed like a natural extension of that creative impulse, tying together inspirations from nature, the arts, beauty and self care, and the quiet, contemplative practice of bringing an idea to life.

Working with my hands has always been my happy place, whether it’s at the easel, in the garden, the kitchen, the piano, or the jeweler’s bench. My hope is that you’ll find something here that evokes your happy place too, whatever that may be for you.
